You are Capable

*An Excerpt from The Keys: Open the Door to True Empowerment and Infinite Possibilities

You are capable of doing anything you want to in this lifetime. In fact, right now, list five things you’ve already accomplished in your life of which you’re most proud. What are your five greatest achievements? You know what they are; you know what your past successes and accolades have been. You’ve succeeded in the past. That proves you are capable of succeeding in the future.

You have a life of options and opportunities—we all do. You’re capable of seizing those opportunities and doing what it is that will bring you great joy and happiness. You’re also capable of focusing on your desired outcomes and taking the steps necessary to achieve them.

There’s no reason why you cannot do what it is you want to do. As long as it’s not morally, physically, or spiritually hurting anyone, you have the ability to experience all that you desire. It’s simply your mind that influences you to think otherwise. Ego controls you. However, once you’re aware of that, the simplest way to change it is to say: I can. I’m capable.

What is it that you really want? Do you want to move up in your career? Do you want to improve your personal life? Do you want to enhance your financial situation? You’re capable of journeying toward and arriving at whatever destination you choose. Regardless of what obstacles you’re currently facing, you’re capable of overcoming them. Sometimes it might take you longer than you’d like, but at other times triumph occurs seemingly in the blink of an eye.

In either case, you must take the first step by believing (and by believing, making) yourself capable—capable of taking action, of studying, and of learning all that you need to in order to get to that next level. Others have succeeded and you can too. Whatever it is that you need to do in order for you to feel happier and more fulfilled, tell yourself: I’m capable of that. I deserve it. I’m strong enough to do it. I believe I can do it. I know I can. In fact, I’m going to do it.

When your negative self-talk gets loud, know that you are in charge of the volume. Quiet down self-defeating thoughts by affirming to yourself that you’re capable. Then take the steps necessary to achieve your goals. Create and live a life of fulfillment and abundance. You can do it! You are capable.
